He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Hartman Gilroy; his parents, Theodore Gilroy, and Ruth Johnson Gilroy, Sr.; his brother Byron; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Gilroy.
He is survived by: his sister Esther M. Fett of Lima; his children, Michael D. Gilroy (Janet) of Indian Lake and Susan Gilroy Coan of Wapakoneta; and his stepdaughters, Linda Rohrbacher (Dan) of Conroe, Texas, Gloria Meyer (Phil) of Holland, Michigan and Jill Hegemier (Dennis) of Conroe, Texas. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; his 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
