It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Schmidt of Wapakoneta, Ohio, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger Schmidt and Martha Schmidt (Scherretz); his children, Shauna, Tonya, Stephanie, Chasity, Cory, Shannon, Casey and Garrett; his brothers, Roger, Brian and Bill Schmidt; his mother-in-law Betty; his wife Crystal; and his brother Gary Schmidt. He was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
