It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roop Tj of Wapakoneta, Ohio, born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Levi Roop and Laura Roop (Addington); his wife Helen L. Benzing; his children, Dennis Roop (Theresa) of Cridersville, OH and Barbara Smith (James); his grandchildren, Kim Grubb (Sean), Ryan Phillips, Marc Phillips, Heather Phillips, Melissa Phillips (Jason), Erin Falke (Chase), Matthew Smith (Sarah), Daniel Benzing and Mike Benzing; his daughters, Peg Mitchell, Carolyn Phillips (Russell) and Beverly Roop; his stepson Paul Benzing (Gabi); and his siblings, Curtis Roop, Astor Roop, Ernest Roop, Gladys Dillion, Russell Roop, Aileen Dew, Adis Roop, Irene Landt, Otis Roop, Arnold Roop, Donald Roop and Ruby Nichols. He was also cherished by 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
