He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Niese and Frances Niese (Schroeder); his wife Eula Mae Niese; and his siblings, Mathias Niese, William Niese, Mildred Bowsher (Niese), Edna Williams (Niese), Alvin Niese, Linus "Dick" Niese and Gilbert Niese.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Niese, Sonia Stroh (David) and Lora Brown (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah Lipps (Tom), Jonathan Stroh (Ashley), Amy Bailey (Clint), Emily Nentwich (Andy), Kevin Brown and Megan Brown; his great grandchildren, Noah Lipps, Evan Lipps, Annalise Lipps, Emmaline Lipps and Oliver Nentwich; and his sisters, Margaret Huchinson (Niese), Ardella Oksanen (Niese) and Theresa Nagel (Niese).
