He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Jr. Claybaugh and Lucy Mae Claybaugh (Carter); his grandson Isaiah Ferguson; his sister-in-law Deb Claybaugh; and his nephew Jeremy Claybaugh.

He is survived by: his children, Trisha Copeland (Brent), Holly Claybaugh, Joshua Claybaugh and Michele Ferguson (Andrew) of Ottawa, OH; his grandchildren, Tyler Copeland, Jace Copeland, Alexis McClarren, Autumn Ferguson, Amelia Ferguson and Joshua Ferguson; his brothers, David Claybaugh, Roger Claybaugh of Celina, OH, Kenny Claybaugh of New Knoxville, OH, Brian Claybaugh (Nettie) and Michael Claybaugh (Tina); and his sister-in-law Connie Claybaugh. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
