He was predeceased by: his parents, John U. Martin and Betty J. Kimmel Martin Sr.; his wife Rebecca J. "Becky" Braun; his son Chris Martin; and his siblings, Karen Pack, Bob Martin, Jean Schneider and Vic Martin.
He is survived by: his stepfather George Gerstner; his sons, Tim Martin (Jill) of Buckland and Rich Martin (Judith) of St. Marys; his grandchildren, Cody Martin (Sarah) of St. Marys, Brooke Bohman (Brent) of St. Marys, Elizabeth Lumadue (Dustin) of Bellefontaine and John Martin of Northfield; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Martin and Chase Martin; and his sister Joyce Sheipline (Donny) of Wapakoneta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
