He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Place and Ginger Jenkins Place; his son Dillon Wesley'Dude'Place; his siblings, Wendy Place, Jan Place Ball and Gay Alcoser (Kim); and his pets, Tony Place, Jill Place and Cindy Place.

He is survived by: his children, Rex Place of Lima, Alexandrea Rostorfer (Tim) of Wapak and Abigail Mears (Tristan) of Buckland; his grandchildren, Kale Hook, Wynter Place, Taylor Rostorfer, Harper Brenneman, Preslynn Mears, Landen, Elliot and Deakyn; his former wife Monica Braun Place of Wapak; and his sister Lill Coe of Wapak.
