He was predeceased by: his parents, Egon Berg and Dorothy Berg Jr. (Knierim); his brother William C. "Bill" Berg; and his brother-in-law Jerry Mason. He is survived by: his wife Raye Carol Bauer; his sons, Monte Berg and Matthew Berg (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Brant of Upper Arlington, Ohio., James of Upper Arlington, Ohio. and Maren Berg of Upper Arlington, Ohio.; his siblings, Judith A. Mason (Berg) and John E. Berg; and his sister-in-law Judith Truitt Berg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wapakoneta Area Community Foundation or to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital at Ohio State University in memory of James F. Berg.
