He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Karl Burkard, Sr. and Nellie Grant Spaulding Burkard; his siblings, Marjorie Burkard Kachelries and Robert; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Dicke.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joalyce Tangeman Burkard; and his children, Bradley Jay Burkard (Jill) of Wapakoneta, Brenda Jane Halker of Wapakoneta, Harry Bruce Burkard (Sherri), Mary Vorhees (Michael) of Wapakoneta, Beth Alyce Knoch (Eric) of Loveland, Brian John Burkard (Stacie) of New Bremen and Barbara Ann Burkard of Wapakoneta. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salem United Methodist Church (505 Bellefontaine St, Wapakoneta, OH 45895). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
