He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Meier (Schneider); his wife Mary C. Metzger; his siblings, Mary Lou Kinstle (Don), Paul "Pete" and James Meier; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Metzger (Rebecca) and Richard Brorein (Eileen).
He is survived by: his father Clement E. Meier; his children, Barbara L. Springer (Larry) of Anna, OH and David L. Meier (Deborah) of Woodstock, GA; his grandchildren, Matthew Springer (Emily), Megan Crameri (Carlos), Lauren Beecher (Nicole) and Cameron Meier (Vanessa); his great grandchildren, Griffin, Eli, Henry Springer, Charley and Jack Crameri; his brother Robert Meier (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Metzger (Judy) and Connie Meier.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Grand Lake Hospice, Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, or the charity of the donor's choice.
