He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Kohler and Helen Kohler (Knatz); his wife Helen L. Kohler (Dick); his daughters, Mary Lou Hume (Joel) of Wapakoneta and Christine Davis (Dwayne) of Wapakoneta; his grandchildren, Morgan Kuhlwein (Nathan) of Circleville, OH, Andy Hume (Keshia) of Wapakoneta, Amy Hager (Nate) of Wapakoneta, Zach Davis of Wapakoneta, Sofia, Harper Hume, Layla, Emmy Kuhlwein and Nora Hager; and his sisters, Kathy Wincelowicz (Vincent) of Evergreen, Patty Kohler of Wapakoneta, Marty Kohler of Wapakoneta and Carolyn Kohler (Tom Patterman) of Mill Valley. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize County Humane Society or the Victory Junction Camp.
