He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Etgen; his children, Lynn J. Gerstner (Kristine), Ronald J. Gerstner (Wendy) and Tamela J. Gerstner; his grandchildren, Emily Post (Chris), David Gerstner (Lindsey), Dylan Gerstner (Lakin), Madison Steinke (Luke), Alyson Gerstner, Lauren Gerstner and Andrew Gerstner; his great grandchildren, Mara, Vincent, Conrad and Michael; his sister Carolyn Myers; and his sister-in-law Judy Gerstner.
