He is survived by: his wife Jane Steinke (Williams); his children, Jeff Steinke, Anita Green, Paul, Linda Steinke (Webb), Jim and Shelly Steinke (Mistic); and his siblings, Alfred (Erma Steinke), Rita (Lawrence Tebbe), Catherine Schmerge, George (Judy Steinke) and Mary Ellen Pauly.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Uniopolis Volunteer Fire Department.
