It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Hanson (Wapakoneta, Ohio), born in Belle Center, Ohio, who passed away on December 3, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover C. Shafer and Mabel M. Shafer (Forsythe); her siblings, Preston Shafer, Ruth Ruhlman, Grace Funk, Charles Shafer, Harold Shafer and Richard Shafer; her daughter Kris Pyles; the fathers of children, James Brake I and Russ Hanson; and her significant other Robert Springer.
She is survived by: her children, Sharol Albrecht (James) of Windemere, FL, James Brake (Susan) of Wapakoneta, OH, Nancy Bassett (John Kerr) of Culpeper, VA and Dr. Barbara Brake of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Natalee Chandler, Allison Scripa (Timothy), Kristen Reinhardt (Adam), Jill Miller (Joe), Tiffany Zuniga (Nick), Eric Barber (Laura), Kevin Brake (Kathleen) and Ian Kerr; her great grandchildren, Brian Chandler, Matthew Chandler, Ella Evelyn Reinhardt, Carter Reinhardt, Anna Scripa, Mary Scripa, Devin Miller, Derek Miller, Ryan Zuniga, Caroline Zuniga, Luke Zuniga and Wilson Barber; her sister Phyllis Scudds of Bellefontaine, OH; her sister-in-law Mary Ridenour; and her friends, Dr. Edward, Carol Cerwinsky, Mark, Donna Fritz, Todd, Linda Gerstner and Leslie Campbell.
