He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Everett and Edna Ruth Hengstler (Nelson); his wife Marilyn Ann Shields; his brother Donald Hengstler; and his granddaughter Heather Madison "Maddie" Renee Hengstler.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Hengstler, Cary Hengstler, Scott Hengstler, Rodney Hengstler (Elaine) of Petersburg, TN, Troy Hengstler (Lisa) and Julie Hoelscher; and his sisters, Dawn Hosman and Helen Bryer of Ohio. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren 19 great grandchildren.
