He was predeceased by: his father Harold E. Welch; and his siblings, Everett 'Smokey Welch and Barbara Cramer (Carl). He is survived by: his children, Edward Welch (Penny) of Wapakoneta, Timothy Welch (Kelly) of Wapakoneta and Suellen Smith (Jerry) of Wapakoneta; his grandchildren, Ben Smith (Danielle), Amy Edwards (TJ), TJ Welch, Andy Welch (Brit Giere), Thomas C. Erb (Kim), Daniel Jones (Mariah), Jesse Smith, Drew Erb (Nicole) and Courtney Spees (Michael); his great grandchildren, Owen, Teela and Luna Smith; his grandchildren, Emalyn, Eli, Everett Edwards, Kaisen, Kaizley Jones, Jeremy, Dustin Smith, Nova Erb, Karsyn and Collins Spees; his godchildren, Kate Lichtle (Jimmy), Sophia, Anton, Rose, Toby Lichtle (Jenna), Jude, Oskar Lichtle, Kendra Smith, Kaitlin and Benjamin Barnes; his sister Evelyn Jones of Wapakoneta; and his sister-in-law Waneta Meier of St. Marys.
