He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chinn and Louise Chinn (Berger); and his siblings, Phillip Chinn, Rosemary Lewis, Donald Chinn and Sharon West.
He is survived by: his son Charles Chinn (Stormie); and his sister Patricia Newman. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
