He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Place and Riva Place (Bowersock); his wife Betty Lou Kraft; and his brother-in-law Edwin Graessle. He is survived by: his sons, Greg Place (Pam) and Todd Place (Anne Law); his grandchildren, Erika Van Poppel, Joel Place (Stephanie), Megan Place, Lauren Place and Kaleb Place; his great grandchildren, Emme Van Poppel, Holden Van Poppel, Ellie Van Poppel, Elizabeth Miller and Gabrielle Place; his sister-in-law Mildred Graessle; and his niece Debra Williams (Mike).
In keeping with current health guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.
