He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Joseph and Ruth Evelyn; and his siblings, John Paul Schlegel (Edna) and Jane Ann Schlegel. He is survived by: his children, David Michael Schlegel of Wapak and Tamala Schlegel-Lohr (Danny Schmidt) of Lima; his grandchildren, Malynda Schlegel, Alyssa Lohr, Brandon Schlegel (Nicole), Cody Schlegel, Phillip Schlegel, Jessica Schlegel and Thomas Hullinger; and his siblings, Samual Stephen Schlegel of Philadelphia and Barbara Jean Engle (Kendol). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
