He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy M. Hittepole, Sr. (Werling). He is survived by: his father Chester E. Hittepole,; his children, Scott Hittepole (Melissa) and Dr. Bridget Hittepole (Geno Luchini); his grandchildren, Ethan and Nicklaus; his sister Sharon Shoup (late David); and his wife Judith Berg Mason.
