He was predeceased by: his parents, John Makley and Gretchen Makley (Zimmerman); his wife Sharon Peggs; his stepson Randy Kohler; and his siblings, Robert Makley, Jack Makley, George Makley, Ruth Makley Betty Henning, Jack Charles Schnell, Nicholas Kohler and Julie Schnell.
He is survived by: his children, Lora Poppe (Tony) of Wapakoneta and Charles Makley, Jr. (Kim) of Saint Marys; his stepdaughters, Vicki Schnell of Celina and Linda Kohler of Saint Marys; his siblings, Wilma Ginter of Saint Marys, Ila Makley of Saint Marys, Mary Frey of Saint Marys, Carol Richardson of Alabama and Beverly Hunton of Huber Heights, Ohio.; and his grandson Charles Makley III. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 on Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
