We bid farewell to Helen A. Butler of Walnut Creek, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 11, 2024 at the age of 96. Helen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Ondas and Helen Ondas (Mikula); her son Ed Butler; and her siblings, John, Stephen, Mary and Paul Ondas.
She is survived by: her friend Roger Hippsley; her children, Ken and Peggy Butler of Tionesta; her daughter-in-law Dawn Butler of Sugarcreek; her grandchildren, Crystal, Larry Yoder, Carrie, Sedric Gerber, Joseph, Tara Butler, Sam and Kara Butler; her stepgrandchildren, Lindsay Petitte (Trevor) and Leah Dumancas (Lorenzo); her great grandchildren, Jackson Gerber, Chloe Gerber and Cole Yoder; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Connor and Aubrey Petitte; and her extended family, Joni and Bart Miller.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith-Varns Funeral Home (115 Andreas Dr NE, Sugarcreek, OH 44681). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
