He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Gillenwater and Louise Gillenwater (Cornell); his wife Carol Rosecrans; and his daughter Connie Gillenwater. He is survived by: his children, Dena Gillenwater (Eric Molesky), Bobbi Sabin (Chris) of New London and Robert Gillenwater, II of Wakeman; his grandchildren, Derek Sabin (Hanna), Matt Gillenwater (Heather), Nichole Ringer (RJ), Erica Sabin, Dustin Gillenwater (Tiffany Slagle) and Emily Gillenwater; his great grandchildren, Della, Kenna, Kolt, Myles, Riley, Vera and Lincoln; his siblings, Benny Gillenwater (Eva) of West Virginia, Joan Harvey of West Virginia, Buel Gillenwater (Mickey) of West Virginia, Ike Gillenwater (Angela) of West Virginia, Ross Gillenwater (Debbie) of West Virginia, Jimmy Gillenwater (Debbie Halstead) of West Virginia, Flora Painter of West Virginia and Donnie Gillenwater of West Virginia; and his pet Daisy.
