He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Ibarra and Julia Ibarra (Huerta); his wife Joan Ibarra (Garcia); and his siblings, Jose Ibarra, Pablo Ibarra, Juanita Fuentes, Lupita Diaz, Carmen Ibarra and Mary Stuart.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Grose of Elyria, Patricia Ibarra of Columbus, Miguel Ibarra of Sandusky, Melida Jones of Wakeman, Diane Wilhelm of Montgomery and Verneita Ibarra (John) of Greenwich, Ohio; and his siblings, Lazaro Ibarra of Brownsville and Candelaria Flores (Dimas) of Victoria, Texas.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
