Lydia Lichlyter Obituary
Lydia A. Lichlyter (nee Slone), 71, of Wakeman, died Sunday, January 8, 2023 peacefully at her home.
She was born October 18, 1951 in Prestonsburg, KY and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 31 years moving from Elyria.
Lydia left this world as she lived her life, on her own terms. She was a wife, mother, grandma, and mother figure to many nieces and nephews. Lydia worked for Walmart as a cashier for over 10 years retiring in 2018.
She was formerly a member of College Heights Baptist Church, Elyria. She enjoyed cooking, being on Facebook, and traveling to historical sights.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lucian Lichlyter of Wakeman; children, Annettte (Mark) Eggers of Amherst, Barbara Fairall of Sheffield Lake, Lori (Shawn) Byrd of Washington, Jeffrey (Candace) Lichlyter of Cortland; grandchildren, Jason, Johnnie, Lonnie, Bradford, Elizabeth, Thomas, Melissa, Savannah, Josiah, and Adalynne; great-grandchildren, Leia, Jason Jr and Emmelyn; siblings, Sharon (Larry) Kocourek, Justine Megething, Ronald (Mary) Slone, Mark Slone, and Daniel Slone and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Mary Elizabeth (nee Taylor) Slone; brothers, Harry Dean Slone, Arvil Slone, Johnny Slone, and Robert Slone.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11 am at Riddle Funeral Home.The. Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Florence Township Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
