It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Carver of Wadsworth, Ohio, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on November 9, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Babe Carver and Elsie Carver; his siblings, Jackie Carver and Patsy Kidd; his parents-in-law, Mary Poder and Louis Poder; and his brother-in-law Louis "Buddy" Poder.
He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Carver (Poder); his siblings, Peggy Hodges (Tim), Mickey Carver (Carol) and Larry Carver (Gloria); his children, Roy W. and Cathy Jo Carver (Chad Andrews); his grandchildren, Bryan Hathaway, Dustin Carver (Jamie), Brandyn Carver (Samantha), Justine Carver (Brett Alkyer), Chelsea Andrews (Tyler Berenyi), Logan Andrews and Devon Andrews; his great grandchildren, Lance, Landyn, Ellie, Kayson, Garrett and Payton; his niece Lisa Poder; and his siblings-in-law, Karen McLaughlin (Jim), Linda Martin (Marlin), Arlene Carver and Kenneth Kidd. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours, following Covid-19 guidelines requiring facial coverings and social distancing, will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 5 to 7 p. m. at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, OH, 44230.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
