Robert Zader Obituary
Robert D. Zader, age 89 of Wadsworth, passed away on August 12, 2021. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 3, 1932 to parents, Michael and Mary Zader. Robert was a devout Catholic, husband, and father of seven children. He was exceedingly charitable wont to giving away anything he possessed for someone in perceived need.
A true Jack-of-all-trades, Robert could fix virtually anything with the patience of a saint. He was a magnet for stray animals and throughout his life he cared for many of them that happened to stray onto his property. Robert enjoyed being outdoors tending to trees, flowers, garden, and yard. He enjoyed a cup of coffee particularly when joined by others, kindly lending an ear and offering sage advice.
He enjoyed watching and reading Westerns, learning about aviation, studying old maps, putting together puzzles, tinkering and creating useful gadgets to improve on things. Robert was a Marine and Korean Veteran, always remaining tempered, disciplined, exhibiting moral and ethical integrity, a true man of virtue. Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Zader; brother, Norman Zader; sister, Victoria Zader; Marilyn G. Zader (spouse), Helen Zader (spouse), and Matthew Zader (son), Robert is survived by his children, Marie Nemec, Michael Zader, Maura Woosnam, Michele Sanchez, Marcia Zader and Mark Zader; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lillian Hyder, Ruth Head and Fran Lang.
Friends and family will be received for visitation on Wednesday, August 18th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. in Wadsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 260 Broad St. in Wadsworth. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
