He was predeceased by: his son Paul; and his daughter-in-law Gail Goldsmith. He is survived by: his spouse Janice Vesalo; his son Robert; his grandchildren, Maggie of Atlanta and Ethan of Atlanta; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Nevins; his granddaughter Holly of Arvada, CO; his daughter-in-law Sheryl Yankovich of Kent; and also Molly of Wadsworth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medina County SPCA or to the Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus.
