He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Sponsler and Rhoda Sponsler; his wife Jannis; and his siblings, Judy Sherman and Kenny Sponsler.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Sponsler (Diane) of Wadsworth, Scot Sponsler (Katrina Defazio) of Wadsworth and Rich Sponsler (Donna) of Wadsworth; his sister Debbie Hixon; and his daughter-in-law Trudy Sponsler.
