He was predeceased by: his father Robert Dwight; his wife Phyllis Ann Oyer Dickey; and his son Douglas Dwight Dickey. He is survived by: his daughter Beth Gregorich (Dino) of Oceanside, CA; his grandsons, Bobby and Jackson Graham; his stepgrandchildren, Tony Gregorich of San Diego, CA and Danielle Puccia (Philip); his stepgreat-grandson Gino of Buffalo, NY; his siblings, J. David Dickey (Betty) and Dianne Nevel (David) of Columbus; his nieces and nephews, Jim Dickey (Teresa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Debra Dickey of Nashville, TN, Patrick Dodane of Columbus, OH, Mandy Younker (Juan) of Columbus, OH, Mike Nevel (Rebeca) of Memphis, TN, Sarah Biddle of Los Angeles, CA and Scott Biddle of San Diego, CA.; his sister-in-law Constance L. Biddle Marbrey of Oceanside, CA.; and his caregivers, Paula and Shannon of Traditions Health.
