He was predeceased by: his grandmother Wadsworth; his parents, Lewell and Esther; his siblings, Eugene and Freida Bontrager; his stepchildren, Linda Jett, Wayne Decker and Karen Lister; and his grandchildren, Krystal Lively and Mikey Williams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Horine (Jim) and Sandra McDaniel (Bob); his stepchildren, Terry Decker, Patricia Williams and Edie Decker; and his brother Robert (Wilma).
