He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ellison and Ethel Ellison (Fox); his grandfather Ray; his wife Reta Ellison (Leininger); and his son-in-law James Rice.
He is survived by: his children, James Ellison (Karen), Susan Rice, David Ellison (Debbie) and Larry Howell (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Ellison (Melissa), AnnMarie Ellison, Jonathan Rice (Amy), Jeffrey Rice, Bethany Stoker (John), Patrick Ellison (Elizabeth), Christopher Howell, Karen Cortez, Michael Howell, Dana Cook and Johnny Ray Howell. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
