He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie; and his siblings, Virgil Hickling and Ruth Hickling. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Norris (Gary) of Marshallville and Robert Hickling (Sue) of Wadsworth; and his grandchildren, Gary Norris II (Nancy), Kelley Hoover (George), James Norris (Ronee), Lyndsay and Taylor Hickling. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve at 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
