She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Parsons and Myrtis Parsons; her husband Clyde R. Cowfer, Jr.; her son David Cowfer; her siblings, Dona and Eugene; and her stepmother Virgie Lenior.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Parsons (Maidee) of Florida; her children, Lynda Hockensmith (Gary) of Wadsworth and Daniel Cowfer (Mary) of Wisconsin; her daughter-in-law Claire Cowfer of Wadsworth; her sister-in-law Beverly Ball (Brian) of Barberton; her grandchildren, Bryan Hockensmith (Laura) of Virginia, Karie Hershberger (Andrew) of Rittman, Shannon Hockensmith (Alex Miller) of Akron, Tracy, Tom Cowfer of Wisconsin, Sarah Schoolcraft (Henry) of Rittman, Cathy Kruger of Wadsworth, Wendi Quidort (Aaron) and Craig Smith of New York; and her great grandchildren, Alexandria, Hudson, Kallie, Kyle, Hayley, Molly and Samuel.
