She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Carpenter and Beulah Carpenter; her husband Rev. John Powell; her siblings, Ann Stalnaker, June Westfall, Helen Harris, Douglas Carpenter and Gary Carpenter; and her grandson Drew Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Powell, Rita Newton (Jim) and John Powell Jr. (Carla); her grandchildren, Ed Powell (Zoanne), Sara Smith (Dan), Danny Newton (Jen), Amber Young (Ryan), Caroline Allex (Shawn), Caitlin Grady (Eric) and Cara Smith (Brett); and her great grandchildren, Madeline, Aiden, Brinley, Teagan, Brennan, Rory and Halle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Crossroads Community Church (1055 Reimer Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (200 College St, Wadsworth, OH 44281).
