He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Sumney (Helms); his children, Roslyn Sumney of Akron and Brayden Sumney of Westerville; his grandson Malikai William Anderson; his mother Edith Sumney of North Canton; his siblings, Kay L. Sumney of Massillon and Todd E. Sumney of Canton; and his close friend Dave Jett.
