He was predeceased by: his mother Cora Noe (Gammell); his half-sister Doris Carpenter Akey; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Masters, Alvin, Dennis and Darrell Reid.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Frances Reid; his children, Charles Gammell of Wadsworth, Janet Gammell (Paul Ulichney) of Doylestown and Jeanne Grant (Steven) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; his grandchildren, Rebecca Gammell-Papp (Joshua) of University Heights, James Grant (Jackie) of Green Bay, WI and Leah Marinescu (Peter) of Fort Collins, CO; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Reid, Lester Reid (Patti), Edwin Reid (Peggy), Keith Reid and David Reid (Roberta).
