He was predeceased by: his parents, James Virgil and Rosa Lee Cornelius; his sister Alberta Gibbs (Walt); and his grandson Christian Cornelius. He is survived by: his wife Vicki; his siblings, James Cornelius (Emily), Patti Samic (Richard) and Robert Cornelius (Carol); his children, Jennifer Farris (Wayne), Becky Brooks (Kenny) and Darrell E. Cornelius II; his grandchildren, Aubri Perry (Matthew), Ryan Farris, Luke Farris, Darren Safron (Haylee), Morgan Safron and Dylan Brooks; and his great grandchild Margot Perry.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (3250 Greenwich Rd, Norton, OH 44203). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial Trees be planted in his memory.
