He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Tackett and Pearl Tackett; his wife Virginia Tackett; his son-in-law Ronnie Ellis; his grandson Tim Phillips II; and his siblings, Vesta Parsons, Louise Stollings, Beatrice Hamilton, Mont Tackett, Comas Tackett, Ireland Tackett and Lester Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Ellis of Bidwell, Clester Jr. (Donna) of Vinton, Bonnie Phillips (Tim) of Bidwell, Ray (Janet) of Vinton, Patrick (Tracy) of Bidwell and Star Pullins (Marvin) of Bidwell; and his brothers, Sterling Tackett of Sunbury and Freel Tackett of Bidwell. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
