He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burnfield (Red) and Mary Burnfield; his wife Barbara J. Burnfield; his brothers, Don and Rod Burnfield; and his nephew Greg Burnfield.

He is survived by: his nephews, Donald McAfee (Jamie) of Vincent and Dwayne McAfee (Angela) of Fleming; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Adams (Ed) of Vincent and Donna Harris of Vincent. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
