He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Downing (Neidler) and Robert D. Downing; his spouse Elizbeth "Betty" Limber; and his sister Evelyn Dalton. He is survived by: his children, Danny Downing of Fremont, Diane Flowers of Virginia, Jill Ruhlman (Brad) of Bellevue and Joy Smith (Dennis) of Bellevue; and his sister Linda Keegan (Gerald) of Fremont.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
