He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Dirksen and Katherine Dirksen (Kramer); his siblings, Urban Dirksen (Bernice) and Alice Keller; his brother-in-law Jerry Fisher; and his stepson Frank Sciotto.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Hartman); his siblings, Edward Dirksen (Mary Ann), Lester Dirksen (Velma), Irene Dirksen and Joan Fisher; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Keller, Imogene Rouman and Peggy Theodore (Gus). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
