He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hoover and Marjorie Hoover; his brother Richard Hoover; his granddaughter Jacquelyn; and his daughter-in-law Janet Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hoover; his children, Russell Hoover of Sandusky, Brian Hoover (Jennifer) of Urbana, OH, Lowell Hoover (Darlene) of Palm Bay, FL and Darla Smith of Landrum, SC; his grandchildren, Joseph, Mary, Zech, Tim and Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Noah, Elizabeth, Ava and Emily.
