He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B. Purdy and Lillian M. Purdy. He is survived by: his wife Alice Purdy of Vermilion; his children, Robert Purdy Jr. of Delaware, Douglas E. Purdy of Wellington, Dorinda Burley (Kevin) of Pickerington and Alan R. Purdy of Amherst; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Drue), Roberta (Ryan), Rennea, Shane (Ashli), Stephanie and Ashley; his brother Harold Lee Purdy of McDonald, PA; and his sister-in-law Ella Tesla. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Riddle Funeral Home (5345 South St, Vermilion, OH 44089). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens (3700 Center Rd, Avon, OH 44011).
