He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland "Bud" Freeman and Pearl Groesch (Payne); his wife Sandra Freeman (Massey); his brother Ronnie Freeman; and his sister-in-law Janie Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Weaver of Vermilion, Sonya Phelps (Leroy Sizemore) of Sandusky, Dennis Freeman (Darla) of Lorain, Robert Freeman (Leslie) of Monroeville and Gary Freeman (Angela) of Wakeman; his grandchildren, James Verhovec (Dawn), Stephanie Mayse (Ben), Brittney Freeman, Tera Licata (Brian), Kristin McMillan (Jayme), Ashley Phelps, Guerin Phelps, Zach Phelps (Allyson), Troy Phelps (Kandice), Andrew Cline (Allie), Natasha Jones (Jermaine) and Leroy Sizemore II; and his siblings, Wayne Freeman and Darlene Brown. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
