It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarita Vandengoorbergh of Vermilion, Ohio, born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Cornelis Vandengoorbergh; her parents, Samuel Mihalis and Wilma Mihalis; her brother Stephen Mihalis; her nephew Steve Mihalis; and her niece Christine Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Bill Ward (Michele) of Avon and Michael Vandengoorbergh (Jill); her grandchildren, William, Julia, Elizabeth Ward, Joseph and Michael Vandengoorbergh; her sister Rosalie Mihalis of Elyria; and her siblings-in-law, Dita Holegraat, Juke Haveman, Jeanne Vandengoorbergh and Hank Haveman.
Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing.
