He was predeceased by: his wife Elma Hector; his daughter Mary A. Lawson; his parents, James Harvey Hector and Bertha Bickerstaff; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Hector.

He is survived by: his son Rick Hector of Vermilion; and his siblings, Freddie Hector of Millington, TN and Cynthia Darmstaedter of Jackson, TN.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Church of Christ 5116 Driftwood Drive , Vermilion, OH 44089 .
