He is survived by: his wife Margaret Schmidt of Vermilion; his children, Tom Schmidt (Kathy) of Vermilion and Janet Green of Vermilion; his daughter-in-law Vickie Schmidt of Lorain; his grandchildren, Nicholas Sheridan, Katie Picha (Brent) and Mike Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Aubreigh Sheridan and Slade Picha; and his siblings, Alice Barry of Oregon, Carol Baaske (Ron) of Vermilion, Nancy Gastin (Dave) of Worthington, Gerry Schmidt (Ginny) of Vermilion and Wayne Schmidt (Marilyn) of Wakeman. He is also survived by his siblings and brother in law.
