With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claudette Jalkanen of Vermilion, Ohio, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on December 8, 2021 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Alpha Murray; and her son Michael Moore. She is survived by: her husband Mark Jalkanen of Vermilion; her children, April Luther of Vermilion, Craig Luther (Kim) of Westlake and Christopher Luther of Vermilion; her stepdaughters, Emily Showalter (Steve) of Elyria and Erin Jalkanen of North Ridgeville; her grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Valarie, Johnathon, Dahlia, Lana, Grayson and Scarlet; her father John C Murray of Lorain; and her siblings, Dillard "DJ" Murray (Crystal), Gail Roos (John) and Cheryl Unger (David).
