She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Samons; her parents, Miller Smiley and Mary Edna Smiley; her siblings, Ermon Smiley, Donald Smiley, Floyd Smiley, Lillian Smiley Akers, Sula Smiley, Survelva Smiley and Eula Smiley Conn; and her grandson Wayde Lafferty.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Lafferty (late Virgil "Bud") of Wakeman, Janet Young (Ed) of Berlin Hts, Jill Haston (Terry) of Vermilion, Norma Emery (Ron) of Vermilion and Jayson Samons (Sharon) of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Jay, Shelly, Tammy, Derek, Angela, Terry Jr., Jennifer, Jeffrey and Missy; and her sisters, Cornella Smiley Conn (late WB) of Dana, KY and Louanna Smiley Conn (late Bascom) of Wakeman. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
